Cop Hit In The Head With A Brick During A Fight In Maspeth: NYPD
Two suspects are in custody after the incident, police say.
MASPETH, QUEENS -- A cop is in the hospital after being hit in the head with a brick while breaking up a fight in Maspeth on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Two suspects were arrested in connection with the assault, which happened on a construction site at 5819 Maspeth Ave., police told Patch.
The officer was responding to reports of harassment at the construction sight at around 1 p.m. when he was struck in the head, cops said. The cop was taken to the Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn and is now in stable condition, an NYPD spokesman said.

Police did not release the identity of the two suspects, but said they were in custody with charges pending against them.
