Driver Plummets Off Eisenhower Expressway
Driver in critical condition after his SUV falls onto Route 83 in Addison on New Year's Eve.
ADDISON, IL — A driver suffered serious injuries on New Year's Eve when his SUV plunged off the Eisenhower Expressway onto Route 83 Sunday night at about 8 p.m. The driver was removed from the vehicle by firefighters and airlifted to Good Samaritan Hospital. He's reported to be in critical condition with pelvis and abdominal injuries, according to the fire department.
