DuPage Officials Unveil New Drug Drop-off Box

BENSENVILLE, IL — DuPage County Board members Paul Fichtner and Sam Tornatore congratulated Bensenville Village Manager Evan Summers and Bensenville trustees on Tuesday for recently unveiling a new prescription drug drop-off box through the County’s RxBox program. The RxBox is located in Bensenville’s Police Station.

The DuPage County Health Department launched the RxBox Program in 2009 as a way for residents to safely and easily dispose of unwanted medications that might otherwise have wound up in a landfill or local waterway. To date, more than 7.5 tons of medications have been collected through the program.
