Elmhurst to Hold Public Hearing About Possible Metra Station Improvements
The meeting will take place this Wednesday at City Hall.

The City of Elmhurst will be holding a public hearing this Wednesday about proposed improvements to the local Metra train station.
The Nov. 30 meeting will begin at 7 p.m., according to the City of Elmhurst’s website, and will be conducted on an informal basis. Anyone interested in the proposed design alternative for the station is welcome to attend.
City representatives will be available both before and after the meeting, the city states. A brief presentation about the project will include an update on its status, which design proposals are under consideration and what decisions still have to be made. Representatives will answer individual questions from audience members, and that feedback will be recorded.

“The presentation will address topics such as the need for the project, the design alternatives under consideration, right-of-way acquisition and relocation assistance, and the tentative construction schedule,” the city states on its website. “Preliminary reports, including environmental documents and an engineering analysis with drawings, maps and aerial photography, will be available for inspection and viewing during the duration of the meeting.”
These materials will also be available to the public online following the hearing.
