Elmhurst Hospital In Battle Over COVID-19 Treatment: Report
Woman says the hospital is refusing to give her mom a particular treatment, despite a court order to do so, TV station reports.
ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst Hospital is being accused of refusing to give a 68-year-old coronavirus patient a particular drug, despite a court order to do, Fox 32 reported over the weekend.
Patient Nurije Fype "might pass away in hours," her daughter, Elmhurst resident Desi Fype, told the TV station.
The patient has been in the hospital since April 7. Fype went to court to get the hospital to treat her mother with an antiparasitic drug known as ivermectin, Fox 32 said.
