Elmhurst Man Passed Out In Drive-Thru: Cops

The resident is charged with DUI involving drugs, report says.

ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst man was arrested after police got a call about a man passed out in the drive-thru lane at McDonald’s, 920 N. York St., police said.

Michael Moroney, 59, faces a charge of DUI (drugs). The incident was reported about 12:30 a.m. Sunday. He was released on bond.

  • Jesus Lopez Cruz, 43, of Stone Park, was arrested about 8 p.m. Friday at York and Crestview on charges of aggravated DUI, no valid license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper stopping on the roadway and use of unsafe tires. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, an officer came into contact with Cruz after seeing that his car was disabled.
  • Lauren Jordan, 34, of Broadview, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Charles and Route 83 on charges of DUI, endangering the life of a child, illegal stopping where prohibited and no safety constraint for a child younger than 8. She was released on bond. According to a police report, officers responded to a report of a driver, later identified as Jordan, sleeping behind the wheel. They woke her up.
  • Juan Guzman, 59, of Newcomerstown, Ohio, was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Sunday at York and Wrightwood on charges of aggravated DUI, improper lane usage and transportation of open alcohol. He was released on bond.
