Elmhurst Police Investigate Possible Gunshots on Schiller Street

Elmhurst police responded to a report of possible gunshots Jan. 5 and are still investigating the incident, officials said.

An officer was dispatched to 199 E. Schiller St. around 11 p.m. that night, according to police reports. The resident who called in the complaint was able to provide the officer with security system recordings of what sounded like gunshots.

At 11:08 p.m., three suspected gunshots could be heard on the audio recording. At 11:16 p.m., two more suspected shots were recorded.
