Elmhurst Postman Charged With Stealing Bank Cards from His Route: Cops
He's been charged with identity theft and unlawful use of a credit card.
An Elmhurst postman has been charged with financial identity theft after several bank cards he was responsible for delivering never made it to their intended destinations.
Eddie London, Jr., 52, of Chicago, was charged with identity theft and unlawful use of a credit card after the Elmhurst police and the UPS Inspector General conducted an investigation into his work patterns, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The investigation began after one resident said they’d noticed charges on a bank card they hadn’t ever received. After several other people reported similar complaints, Elmhurst detectives teamed up with UPS workers to track down areas and dates of the reported missing cards.
