Elmhurst's Free Trolley to Return for Warm-Weather Season
It makes its first appearance at March 4's St. Patrick's Day Parade.
The Elmhurst trolley is kicking off 2017's warm-weather season with an appearance this March before beginning its regular summer rounds in June.
Elmhurst's 21st annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will take place March 4, according to a release from the city. The trolley will be a new feature for parade day and will be in business from 9:30 a.m. through 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. through 5:30 p.m.
There won't be any trolley service during the parade, which starts at the intersection of Wilson Street and Spring Road.

The trolley will be back as a part of Explore Elmhurst's Summer Trolley Program, which will begin June 2 and run through Sept. 16. It will, however, make two more appearances in addition to March's before its regular season — the Memorial Day Parade and Art in the Park this spring.
The trolley connects three business districts: Spring Road, York and Vallette, and City Centre, according to the release. Riders will be able to hop on and off the trolley for free between noon and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

- York Street and Schiller Street
- Second Street and Addison Street
