First of District 205's New Future Ready Classrooms Unveiled to Students and Staff

A public open house will be held Oct. 24.

The District 205 Foundation for Educational Excellence, who unanimously approved $50,000 to fund the Future Ready Model Classroom project, unveiled its first completed classroom Tuesday.

The Bryan Middle School Future Ready Model Classroom of teacher Erin Fox was unveiled to students and staff, “who were delighted with the results,” a District 205 press release states.

There will be a public open house as well as tours of the new classroom Monday, Oct. 24 from 5:15-6:45 p.m., according to the release. These tours will take place just before Oct. 24’s Focus 205 focus group meeting — one of which will be held at each of the district’s three middle schools.

The focus group meetings at Bryan, Churchville and Sandburg Middle Schools are open to parents of elementary and high school students and will involve a presentation of what a future ready classroom looks like, an overview of the educational alignment study conducted by architect firm Wright & Company last spring, and reactions from parents to related questions. The feedback from these meetings will be used to shape the next community engagement session on Dec. 5.
