Heroin Arrest, DUIs, Retail Theft Issues Continue: Elmhurst Police Blotter

Take a look at what the Elmhurst police have been up to for the past week.

The following items were taken from the Elmhurst police blotter over the past week.

DUIs

  • Samuel Winger, 35, was stopped around midnight Dec. 27 for speeding and was found to be driving under the influence. He was arrested and charged for the speeding, DUI and for having no insurance. He was released on bond.
  • Kacee Uysaloglu, 27, was arrested for driving drunk and also having heroin and a hypodermic syringe in her car Dec. 28. Uysaloglu was taken to DuPage County Jail after the arrest, which happened just before 7 p.m.

Drugs

  • Cesar Sotelo, 23, was stopped at 3 a.m. Dec. 28 for lacking a license plate light and subsequently arrested for having drug paraphernalia in his car.

Retail theft

  • Maria Flores, 46, was arrested for trying to steal merchandise from Kohl’s at 303 S. Route 83, which has been the site of several retail theft cases in the recent past. According to police, Flores removed $127.96 worth of bedding items from the store before leaving without paying. She was later found at her Elmhurst home and arrested, but was later released on bond.
