Impact Dance Company Wins at Nationals

Elmhurst, IL — Elmhurst Park District’s Impact Dance Company brought home four Platinum Awards from the Midwest Starz Nationals competition that took place June 15-19, 2016 in Wisconsin Dells.

Junior Jazz, Junior Hip Hop, Senior Jazz and Senior Hip Hop all achieved the highest scoring bracket in their divisions. In addition, Senior Jazz received the Judges’ Award for Electric Execution.

Cultural Arts Program Manager, Susan Smentek, said, “Congratulations to all of the dancers. We are thrilled with your performances this season and very proud of your achievements!” Smentek also expressed gratitude to the families of the dancers for their support of the dance company.

Dancers interested in joining the award-winning company may audition for Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical and Tap companies. The 2016-2017 season will include competitions and community performances. There is no charge to audition, registration is required.
