Jewel-Osco, Shell Team Up For Gas Rewards Program in Elmhurst
The program is now available in select Illinois cities, and Elmhurst is one of them.
Grocery chain Jewel-Osco has announced a new partner program with Shell that will allow Elmhurst and Oak Park shoppers to earn fuel points for reduced gas prices.
Jewel-Osco customers will be able to earn up to 20 cents per gallon off of gas while filling up at any of more than 400 participating Shell stations, the grocery store announced in a press release.
The Jewel-Osco Gas Rewards program is up and running in select towns in Illinois and Northern Indiana, so Elmhurst and Oak Park shoppers can rack up points on their Jewel-Osco accounts by buying eligible grocery items that will be marked as qualifying for the program.

“This relationship is a fantastic opportunity to offer additional savings to customers who shop at Jewel-Osco and fill up at Shell,” Mike Withers, Jewel-Osco’s president, said in a release. “Customers will have plenty of opportunities to earn Gas Rewards at nearly all of our Jewel-Osco locations, and the process to redeem the rewards is even easier.”
Reward points will be marked on store items. For every 100 reward points earned through shopping at Jewel-Osco, customers will earn a 10 cent-per-gallon gas reward. One reward point is earned for every dollar spent on eligible grocery items. Rewards are recorded through phone numbers, so be sure to provide your number at the Jewel-Osco checkout and use that same number to redeem your gas points at Shell.
