Join the Elmhurst Summer Community Band and Jazz Band
For more than a decade, Elmhurst's community band has welcomed students, recent grads, and adults for a summer of music.

Elmhurst, IL—Registration is now open for the Elmhurst Summer Community Band. The band rehearses Tuesday evenings, 8-10 p.m. at the York Community High School Field House starting June 15. The band performs a free concert for the public on Tuesday, July 20 at 7 p.m. Location of the concert will be announced at a later date.
Elmhurst Summer Community Jazz Band rehearses Thursday evenings, 8-10 p.m. in the York Community High School band room starting June 17. The Jazz Band performs a free concert on Monday, July 19 at 7 p.m. Location of the concert will be announced at a later date.
The ensembles are directed by Michael Pavlik, Director of Bands at York High School, and William Riddle, Performing Arts Director, York High School (retired).

“The thing I like best about Community Band is that it’s for ages 12 and up, so sometimes we have two or more players from the same family,” says Pavlik, who has directed Community Bands in Elmhurst with Riddle for the past 13 years. “It’s fun to see young people playing alongside their parent or even a grandparent,” he says. “Music finds a way to bring people together.”
Registration fee for Community Summer Band is $60. There is no additional fee for Jazz Band.
