Landscaping Truck Stolen from Elk Grove Village
Elmhurst police arrested the accused truck thief on Interstate 290.
Elmhurst, IL — Police were sent to track down a landscaping truck that had been stolen from Elk Grove Village.
Around 12:42 p.m. June 27, an Elmhurst officer saw the truck going eastbound on Interstate 290 at York, according to Elmhurst police.
The truck was stopped and the driver was arrested and taken to the police station.

Maurice Sumler, 25 of the 6200 block of S Laflin in Chicago, was charged with unlawful possession of a stolen motor vehicle, obstructing identification and driving while license revoked, police reported.
He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
