Lombard Daisy Scout donates Girl Scout Cookies to Elmhurst Hosp.

Olivia Pieranunzi, a 6-year-old kindergarten student and Daisy Scout from Lombard, recently made Nurses Week a little more special at Elmhurst Hospital.

On April 19, Olivia, accompanied by her mother, father and brother, donated 50 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to Elmhurst Hospital’s nursing staff to help in the celebration of National Nurses Week, which was May 6 – 12.

Jean Lydon, Chief Nursing Officer, accepted the cookies on behalf of the nearly 1,000 nurses who work at Elmhurst Hospital.

Olivia came up with the idea of donating the cookies to Elmhurst Hospital after there was discussion at her school about making donations to charitable organizations.
