A New Place In Elmhurst To Try Barbecue

"Pop-up" restaurant opens in town for curbside pickup and local delivery.

ELMHURST, IL — A "pop-up" restaurant offering barbecue is opening Wednesday in Elmhurst.

Market Table Catering and Events, 130 N. York St., which is temporarily closed, is teaming up with Chicago-based Smoque BBQ to offer pre-ordered curbside pickup and local delivery at the Market Table location.

The service is set to be available 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.

Christine Falkenberg, Market Table's office manager, told Patch that the restaurant may increase the number of days of service.

"We'll see how it goes," Falkenberg said. "If demand is good, we'll consider doing more."

She referred to the restaurant as a "pop-up," which means temporary.
