Road Rage, Brick Vs. Window: Darien Cops
Willowbrook man is arrested after police are called to a road rage incident, report says.
DARIEN, IL — The Darien Police Department released its latest blotter. Here is information from the reports:
Road rage
- Justin McCauley, 30, of Willowbrook, was cited at 7:30 a.m. March 3 at 75th Street and Cass Avenue on a charge of disorderly conduct. He was released and given a date to appear in court. Police said they stopped McCauley after a report of road rage.

- A landscape brick was thrown through a two-pane picture window about 7:30 p.m. March 1 in the 1500 block of Sequoia Lane. The loss was estimated at $3,100.
Car damaged at high school
- A car parked at Hinsdale South High School, 7401 Clarendon Hills Road, was scratched on the passenger side door between 7:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. March 3.

- Some contents of a sliced-open package were missing Friday at a house in the 7800 block of Wakefield Drive. The loss was estimated at $9.
DUI
- Jeffrey Smrz, 56, of Villa Park, was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of Redondo Drive on charges of DUI, carrying a concealed firearm, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver, possession of open alcohol, disobeying a traffic signal, squealing or screeching tires, and improper lane usage. Police were called to a report of a domestic disturbance, with the couple standing next to a black Sierra. Smrz was released and given a date to appear in court.
Driving violations
- Luis Luna-Aguilera, 36, of Addison, was cited about 1:30 p.m. March 2 at Cass Avenue and Interstate 55 on charges of driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper use of registration and operating a vehicle in an unsafe condition. An officer came into contact with Luna-Aguilera because the driver had a broken driver's side wheel. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- James Dye, 33, of Darien, Wis., was cited about 1 a.m. March 4 at 75th Street and Plainfield Road on charges of driving with a revoked license, disobeying a traffic signal and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Kemani Phillips, 25, of Downers Grove, was cited about 10:30 a.m. Friday at 71st Street and Cass Avenue on a charge of no valid driver's license. The driver was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Breyanna Taylor, 19, of Oak Lawn, was cited about 10 a.m. Friday in the 8200 block of Lemont Road on charges of driving with a suspended license, speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. She was released and given a date to appear in court. According to police, she was speeding 55 mph in a 40 mph zone.
- Terrance Lewis, 35, of Calumet City, was cited about 10 a.m. Saturday in the 7700 block of Lyman Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license, speeding and possession of a suspended driver's license. According to police, he was speeding 45 mph in a 25 mph zone. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Eric Nobles, 37, of Chicago, was cited about 11 a.m. Saturday at Cass Avenue and 75th Street on charges of driving with a revoked license and driving with expired license plates. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Claude McBounds, 43, of Lisle, was cited about 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 7900 block of Lemont Road on charges of driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and disobeying a traffic control device. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
