Roadwork On North Avenue To Continue Throughout Summer
Work on the road from Villa Avenue to I-290 will begin on Monday.
ELMHURST, IL - Roadwork on a significant portion of North Avenue in Elmhurst will begin Monday and possible last throughout the summer. The city of Elmhurst has warned residents and those who drive through town of expected delays and lane closures on North between Villa Avenue and I-290.
The resurfacing improvements, an Illinois Department of Transportation project, are expected to begin on Monday, May 20. The work will consist of spot curb and gutter replacement, ADA sidewalk improvements at intersections, pavement grinding and resurfacing.
