Shoplifting Incidents Continue at Elmhurst Kohl's: Police
Several incidents of shoplifting have been reported in the recent past.
ELMHURST, IL — Just days after a similar shoplifting incident, five people were arrested for retail theft from the Kohl’s off of S. Route 83.
According to Elmhurst police reports, the group removed several items from the store — the merchandise wasn’t specified — before leaving without paying.
Tkeyh Herbert, 22, and Katlin George, 19, were named directly in reports. The other three suspects weren’t, since they’re under the age of 18.

While all five people were taken into the police station Nov. 29, three of the offenders were released without charges. Herbert was charged with attempted retail theft, obstructing identification, driving with a suspended license and not having insurance before he was released.
George’s charges were a little heavier — she was faced with the felony of retail theft, resisting a police officer and was found to have a warrant out of Cook County. She was taken to DuPage County Jail.

These incidents took place after a shoplifting case reported Nov. 25 in which two women entered the same Kohl’s each filled up a bag with merchandise and then fled in a silver Nissan. They had reportedly committed similar shoplifting crimes at Kohl’s stores before.
