Should There Be A Traffic Light At Diversey And York?

ELMHURST, IL - Some Elmhurst residents are asking public officials to consider a study to see if placing a traffic light at the intersection of Diversey Avenue and York Street would be a good idea. Multiple residents spoke in favor of the possibility and a petition with about 400 signatures was presented to the Elmhurst City Council this week, according to a report from the Chicago Tribune.

One man who urged officials to consider the study called it "impossible" to make a turn in either direction from Diversey onto York.

"We need help here," he said.
