Teens Swipe City Signs Off Streets: Elmhurst Police
Two teenagers got in more than a little bit of trouble last week.
Elmhurst police responded to the 400 block of Fair Avenue early in the morning Dec. 27 when they received a call about suspicious people climbing light poles.
When officers arrived on the scene around 3:18 a.m., Matthew Wozny, 19, and an 18-year-old were holding two City of Elmhurst signs.
Both Wozny and the 18-year-old are from Elmhurst. Police arrested the pair for theft, and Wozny was further arrested for having a fake ID and drinking underage.
