Underage Girl Says She Was Blackmailed for Nude Photos of Herself: Elmhurst Police

Elmhurst police received information this week from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children claiming someone in the area is guilty of child pornography.

According to police reports, a girl contacted the NCMEC Dec. 23 with information that someone was blackmailing her for nude photos of herself. The gender, age and other information about the suspect hasn't been released.

Police are searching for the suspect, who could be facing charges of child pornography and indecent solicitation of a child.

The NCMEC also gave Elmhurst police information about an instance from Nov. 29 of last year in which Facebook reported that two transmissions of files containing suspected child pornography took place on its site. Subpoena requests have been submitted, and police are investigating the incident.
