The dispute may have had a racial dimension, report indicates.
ELMHURST, IL — Two Elmhurst woman were charged late last month after an attack at a local restaurant that may have had a racial dimension, police said.
Kristina Gaul, 25, was cited on a charge of battery, and Victoria Gaul, 29, with assault. Both women denied starting the fight, but video showed Kristina was the first to attack, according to a police report obtained through a public records request.
The incident occurred about 11 p.m. May 29 at Buffalo Wild Wings, 149 N. York St. The Gauls were reported as intoxicated. Restaurant staff said a table was flipped over.

According to the report, two women in their 20s who were sitting at a nearby table said they heard the Gauls and their boyfriends talking about defecating. The foursome then directed their conversation toward the two women, making fun of them and speaking in broken Spanish toward them, according to the report. The two women at the other table are Hispanic.
Kristina Gaul grabbed the glasses from one woman's face, then scratched the left side of her face, police said.

The Gauls and their boyfriends were told to leave. Police found them about a block away. In the presence of officers, Victoria Gaul screamed at the two women, "I'll bite your f------ throat out, c---," according to a police report.
One of the boyfriends aired his complaints about police to an officer, including that he was upset the Elmhurst police arrested him for domestic battery and took his guns and ammunition, the report said. He said the officer should have enlisted in the military, rather than joining law enforcement, police said.
He later calmed down and told the officer he was working through a lot of issues, the report said.
One of the boyfriends asked why an officer was "huffing and puffing" and told the officer to "f--- off" and leave them alone, police said.
Kristina Gaul's boyfriend said that when he returned from the bathroom, he heard his girlfriend yelling at the two Hispanic women, the report said. He believed the other women were upset because Victoria Gaul was talking about defecating. Victoria's boyfriend was trying to order his food in Spanish using the word "queso," which the other women thought was directed at them, police said.
Kristina Gaul's boyfriend said he could not describe the physical contact because it happened too fast, saying he tried to separate the women and was eventually able to do so, police said.
Kristina Gaul suffered from a scratch on the left side of her nose and a cut on her forehead with fresh blood, police said. She said one of the other women attacked her first, which the video found was untrue, according to the police report.
The Gauls and their boyfriends were given no-trespass notices at Buffalo Wild Wings, police said.
