EVERGREEN PARK, IL - Coming in mid-June, Father's Day weekend is always the perfect time of year to take in summer fun. In and near Evergreen Park, there are a number of great options to bring dad out for some fun. You won't have to leave the area (we are including Oak Lawn, Beverly and Alsip, too) for these events all happening this weekend.
Most Holy Redeemer Carnival: Parish carnival season is in full swing, so if you missed the fun at St. Catherine of Alexandria last weekend, here's another chance. Beginning Wednesday, the carnival at the Evergreen Park parish features five fabulous days of food, music, big rides, games, raffles and fun. Live Like John Softball Tournament: The annual Live Like John Softball Tournament, held yearly in memory of Beverly neighborhood resident John McNicholas who died of a brain tumor eight years ago at age 15, is Saturday at St. Rita of Cascia High School.
