EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Chicago author Kathleen Rooney will join the Evergreen Park Public Library through Zoom to discuss how she came to write her latest book Cher Ami and Major Whittlesey, which is based on a true story of the Great War.

Critics called Cher Ami and Major Whittlesey “heart-tugging and gorgeously written novel based on the incredible true story of a World War I messenger pigeon and the soldiers whose lives she forever altered.”

This is a perfect program for history buffs, fiction readers, and promising authors. The presentation starts at 6:30 p.m. Register online to attend Rooney’s presentation. Click here to order any of Rooney's books from Bookie's. She will sign all the books prior to pickup.
