CSX Crossing To Be Closed For Repairs At 99th Street And Rockwell

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Expect delays along the CSX tracks, but not by trains sitting on the tracks and blocking rail crossings.

Starting Tuesday, June 22, CSX will be working on the grade crossing at 99th Street and Rockwell Avenue. Detour signs will be posted, so plan your routes carefully. If you’re going to cut through the quadrants, please don’t speed.

“These are necessary repairs,” Evergreen Park officials said. “We know, 'why can't these alphabet entities talk to each other when planning all this?' But they don't. So, again, please be patient. This one should go quickly.”
