District 124 Superintendent Vying for Park Ridge-Niles Job: Report

Superintendent Robert Machak is one of two people identified who will tour schools and meet with the public this week in the Park Ridge-Niles School District, according to a media report.

Robert Machak, superintendent of Evergreen Park Elementary School District 124, is one of two finalists identified in the running for the top job at the Park Ridge-Niles School District, according to a report.

Sun-Times Media reports that Machak and Laurie Heinz, an assistant superintendent with Skokie School District 68, are scheduled to visit District 124 schools and meet with key people connected with the district this week.

Machak is set to meet with the public on Thursday, according to the report. His tenure as District 124 superintendent began July 12, 2012. In the fall of 2012, district teachers went on strike over a contract dispute with the board of education.
