Drone Video Captures Bird's Eye View Of Evergreen Park Parks

Evergreen Park-resident and photographer Claudia Parker offers soaring view of village parks in drone video.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL —Newly licensed drone pilot and photographer Claudia Parker has produced a drone video that shows a bird’s eye view of Evergreen Park’s lovely parks.

A hobbyist turned professional photographer whose racked up numerous cover photos for the Chicago Sun-Times, The Regional, Special Parent Magazine, Family Time Magazine and more. Her production company, Claudia Parker Portraits, offers portraiture, promotional and event photography and videographer services.

Parker counts many area school districts among her clients. Recently one of her school district clients was tearing out a gym floor during remote learning, when she was asked if she did drone photography.

“I brought a drone and took a class,” Parker said. “I found out you can’t get paid to do a job unless your licensed, so I had to go through an aeronautic knowledge test.”

To let potential clients know of her newly acquired drone skills, Parker was told to pick a “passion project.”

“I went to the [Village of Evergreen Park] website, and there were no pictures of parks,” she said. “We have a ton of beautiful parks, some I didn’t know about.”

Evergreen Park counts nine parks, including two community parks, four neighborhood parks and three mini parks spread out across the village’s quadrants. Parker’s soaring drone video captures each park from the eye of an eagle.
