EP Student Volunteers Invited To Help In Youth Garden Planting

The Evergreen Park Recreation Department is recruiting student volunteers in grades 4-12 to assist in planting the youth garden on May 18.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — The Evergreen Park Recreation Department is looking for students in grades 4-12 who don’t mind getting their hands dirty. The recreation department is offering an amazing volunteer opportunity to assist in the planting of the village’s youth garden. Planting will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, at the Evergreen Park Community Center, 3450 W. 97th St.

Limited tools will be available, but feel free to bring the tools you need to succeed, including gloves, spade, hand shovel, weed digger, etc. Planting will be supervised. Students can also receive community service hours.

Reserve a spot by calling 708-229-3377 or stop by the youth department at the Evergreen Park Community Center. A green thumb is not required.
