Evergreen Park Village Board Seeks Applicants For Trustee Vacancy
The Evergreen Park Village Board is accepting applications through June 1 to fill Kelly Burke's unexpired trustee term.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Are you passionate about the Evergreen Park community? A history of community involvement? The Evergreen Park Village Board is seeking candidates to finished out an unexpired term for village trustee.
When Tr. Kelly Burke won the mayoral election in April, she left a vacancy on the village board. The successful candidate who is appointed trustee will serve for 22 months until the next municipal election in 2023.
The ideal candidate will have a proven record of community volunteerism and activism. Candidates must have resided in Evergreen Park for at least one year prior to the appointment and meet the legal requirements to take the oath of office.

The Evergreen Park Village Board has an active, year-long meeting schedule. Trustees' responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assigned as a liaison to a minimum of two village boards or commissions;
- Participate at annual meetings, budget meetings, strategic planning, and fall and spring updates to the board.
- The village board also promotes events throughout the year, where elected officials interact with the residents, and also attend community and civic events of behalf of the village.
