Evergreen Park's Fleetest Feet Run in 2016 Chicago Marathon
See how your Evergreen Park neighbors did in the 2016 Chicago Marathon on Sunday.

CHICAGO, IL -- About 28 Evergreen Park residents ran in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on Sunday. The 26.2-mile course took runners through 29 Chicago neighborhoods, that went all the way north to Wrigley Field and south to US Cellular Field.
Daniel Lindbloom, 30, was the first Evergreen Park man to cross the finish line at 2:52:01 according to unofficial Chicago Marathon results. Karen Duggan, 40, finished first among Evergreen Park women finishing with a time of 3:42:38.
Evergreen Park’s other top finishers included:
- Mike Heppeler, 51 (50-54 age group), 3:29:20
- Mark Jaroz, 21 (20-24 age group), 3:52:18
- Hilary Sterk, 29 (25-29 age group), 4:29:05
- Tricia Sochacki, 43 (40-44 age group), 4:37:10
Elite runners from Kenya dominated the race. Kenyan Abel Kirui finished first with a time of 2:11:22, beating out last year’s champion and fellow Kenyan Dickson Chum in the final mile. Florence Kiplagat, 29, was the top female finisher clocking in at 2:22:31. Results are still unofficial.
