Frank Murray Named New Evergreen Park Library Director

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — The Evergreen Park Public Library Board of Trustees named a new library director at their May 12 meeting, Frank Murray, an Evergreen Park native, will take the place of current director, Nicki Seidl, who is retired at the end of June.

Murray grew up in Evergreen Park, graduating from St. Rita High School and Eastern Illinois University before acquiring a master’s in library science from Dominican University in River Forest. He lives in Evergreen Park with his wife and two children.

For the past two years Murray has served as director of Itasca Community Library. He has experience developing strong relationships with community groups and government agencies which he will use to build upon the success of the Evergreen Park library.

“The board appreciated Frank Murray’s commitment to collaborative leadership and maintaining relevancy,” said Kim Shine, president of the library board. “We look forward to Mr. Murray guiding the Evergreen Park library through an ever-evolving future while maintaining its status as a cornerstone of the community.”
