"Golf Fore A Cause" July 17 at Gleneagles Country Club to support Christmas Without Cancer's mission to help families stricken with cancer.
EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Jim McKeever along with his son, Patrick, are organizing the first-ever Fore A Cause golf outing benefitting Christmas Without Cancer, which provides holiday gifts and necessities to local families stricken by cancer. The event will be held Saturday, July 17 at Glen Eagles Country Club in Lemont.
The golf outing will kick off at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start. Dinner will follow at 3 p.m. at 115 Bourbon Street, 3359 W. 115th St., Merrionette Park, which includes entertainment, dinner and an open bar.
Christmas Without Cancer is near and dear to the hearts of the McKeever family when Jim was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma in 2016.

“I was overwhelmed by the generosity of Christmas Without Cancer, and how all involved truly care about the impact of cancer not only on the patient, but the entire family,” McKeever said. “My cancer has now returned three times, and each time Christmas Without Cancer has been extraordinarily generous to my family and me. This golf outing is a way for my family to give back to a great organization, and help provide assistance to other cancer families, patients, and survivors.”
Get a foursome together or sign up as a single, the McKeevers will find someone nice to pair you off with. Individual tickets are $140; if you want to do the dinner only at 115 Bourbon Street, the cost is $60.
