Man Who Tried To Lure Boy Into Toyota Camry Arrested: Police
License plate traced to Justice man who police said tried to lure a boy into his Toyota Camry in Evergreen Park

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — A license plate number led Evergreen Park officers to a Justice man when he tried to lure a child to his car on Nov. 9, police said. Abdulla Omar, 31, of Justice, was charged with child abduction.
A boy walking in the 3400 block of Maple Avenue told police that a man driving a Toyota Camry drove beside him and asked if wanted to get into his car. The boy refused and ran away, police said.

The driver was described as a Hispanic man in his thirties with short black hair and a black beard. Omar was traced to his residence in the 8200 block of James Street in Justice, where police said he was arrested the same day near his residence.
Omar appeared for a bond hearing on Nov. 11. Information regarding bail and future court hearings was not immediately available.
