'Put A Ring on It': Marist Holds Ring Ceremony for Girls Softball Champs

Marist High School girls' softball team receives 2015 IHSA state championship rings at opening school rally.

Marist High School’s 2015 softball team members and coaches were presented with state championship rings at the school’s opening rally on Friday, August 28.

The team also unveiled its state banner in the main gym in front of the student body. The RedHawks defeated Lincoln-Way East on June 13 to nab their second state title in four years and ended their season on a 29-game winning streak.

Gonzalez, and Wilson, who graduated in May, helped Coach Biebel design the rings. Franks and Wilson now attend and play for Lindenwood University and Loyola University, respectively. Gonzalez attends University of Illinois at Chicago.
