To whom it may concern.
I, Donald Mundo, do sincerely apologize for my insensitive comment agreement to the article posted on Patch.com reported by Amber Fisher on Dec. 24, 2018 concerning Carl Nybergs comments about the circumstances surrounding the deaths of CPD Officers Eduardo Marmolego and Conrad Gary. I never meant to tarnish the reputations of these fine dedicated Officers nor did I wish to hurt, insult or offend their grieving families, friends and coworkers.
I regret my short comings with regards to the consideration of those I affected. My comments were not in any way associated or representative of my position as a member of the OLFD or the Village of Oak Lawn. I grew up in the Mt. Greenwood neighborhood of Chicago and have always revered the Chicago Police Department. I have nothing but respect for the CPD and all first responders who diligently serve their municipalities.
