Relive 'A 1940s Radio Christmas' With The EP Candlelight Theatre
Evergreen Park Candlelight Theatre recreates a "coast-to-coast" Christmas radio broadcast circa 1943 for one night only on Dec. 6

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Tickets are now on sale for “A 1940s Radio Christmas.” The one-day only recreation of an old radio broadcast will be performed by the Candlelight Theatre players on Dec. 6 in the auditorium at the Evergreen Park Senior Center.
The production recreates an old-time radio holiday special circa December 1943. Performers present songs and classic radio comedy sketches, reading from scripts while speaking into vintage microphones. The audience will play the role of the studio audience for this “coast-to-cast” recreated broadcast.
“A 1940s Radio Christmas” features actors and singers from the Evergreen Park area. “EP Podcast” creator Chris Lanuti will provide the smooth on-stage voice that guides the audience through a mix of Christmas songs and comedy nostalgia.
