Residents Can Purchase Rain Barrels Through the Village

If you had a rain barrel in your backyard this week, you would probably be overflowing with water. 

The Village of Evergreen Park is offering residents the chance to purchase rain barrels for $55. Barrels can be connected to your downspouts and are a great way to conserve water. 

Water collected can be used for watering your lawn and plants. The village reports that up to 60 percent of water used during the summer months occurs outside, so rain barrels are a great way to take advantage of a free natural resource. 

To purchase the barrel, fill out the form attached to this article and drop off payment at Village Hall. The rain barrels will be dropped off at your home.
