St. Bernadette's Family Fest
Family Fest - Mass, bike blessing (motorcycles and bicycles), food, music, games.
On Sunday August 27th we are having our first "Family Fest". In the past we kicked off the summer with our annual Outdoor Motorcycle Mass but this year we are changing the format to extend the appeal to more of the families within our parish and the neighboring community.
The day will consist of an Outdoor Mass @ 10:30 a.m. and then we will continue the celebration with a live band, family bbq, motorcycle and bike blessing, children's bike parade and decorating contest, children's area, and our very first Cow Pie Bingo!
Cow Pie Bingo consists of a random grid of 750 squares painted on the parking lot (much like football squares) and the squares will be numbered between 101 and 850.
You purchase tickets for $25 each with your lucky number (on a first come first serve basis) then on the day of the event we will have a well fed cow there that will walk around the grid until nature takes it's course! The owner of the square where the largest amount of cow pie lands will win $7,000!!! Since we know that there is a change that the cow won't poop on just one square we will decide the winner by determining which square has the largest amount of cow pie on it. In addition, the next 4 squares that have any amount of cow pie will win $500 each.
We hope to sell 750 tickets, so please share this unique fundraiser with your family and friends. Tickets are available in the parish rectory. Ticket request deadline is August 20th but we suggest that you get your tickets early so that you get your "lucky" number!
