St. Rita Football Coach Todd Kuska to be Inducted into Catholic League Hall of Fame
He's the winningest coach in St. Rita history.

The winningest coach in St. Rita High School football, winner of six Catholic League championships, will be honored with induction into the Chicago Catholic League Hall of Fame on May 7.
Todd Kuska, of Oak Lawn, a 1990 graduate of St. Rita and a team captain during his playing days, will begin his 18th season as coach this fall.
“The most fulfilling part of my job is getting to work with kids who came to St. Rita for the same reasons that I did — tradition, brotherhood and a great education. Playing and coaching in the Chicago Catholic League is an honor by itself,” Kuska told DNAinfo Chicago recently. “To be inducted into the [Catholic League] Hall of Fame is a huge honor.”

Kuska has long been thought highly of by those who follow to Catholic League sports. He was featured in a FathersForGood.com writeup on “Coaching Character”:
Prayer and a pre-game Mass are integrated into the football program at St. Rita. So are family and fellowship. On the eve of each game day, players, coaches, and families come together for a pasta dinner prepared by the parents. “I want our parents to realize they are just as important to our football program as their sons are,” Kuska said.

“We try to be more than just the coaches on the field,” he added. “Some of these guys are looking for role models, and that’s something that my faith has played a role in making me realize.”
Here he is in a 2008 interview talking about St. Rita’s rivalry with Mount Carmel.
