Stallions Present Super Bowl Rings To Mayor, Rec Director

The Evergreen Park Stallions' Metro Youth Football League championship teams thanked Mayor Jim Sexton and Dennis Duffy for their support.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL - The Evergreen Park Stallions Youth Athletic Organization showed their appreciation to Mayor Jim Sexton and Village of Evergreen Park Recreation Director Dennis Duffy for their support of the organization by presenting them Super Bowl rings at the village board meeting on Monday.

The Stallions' Widgets (5th, 6th grade) and Juniors (7th, 8th grade) football teams both won the Metro Youth Football League Super Bowl in November.

Both the Widgets and the Juniors teams defeated the Blue Island Untouchables in the championship game.

The Widgets finished with an undefeated 11-0 record while the Juniors went 10-1 on the year in a league that includes the Untouchables, Oak Lawn Outlaws, Orland Park Knights and Mt. Greenwood Colts.

The Stallions program, a non-profit organization, offers football, cheerleading and wrestling.
