Victim In Deadly Evergreen Park Crash ID'd As Chicago Man, 38
The man was killed when he and two others were ejected from a car early Tuesday.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — The victim of a deadly Tuesday morning crash in Evergreen Park has been identified as 38-year-old Paul Washington of Chicago.
An autopsy to determine Washington’s cause and manner of death was held Wednesday afternoon. Medical Examiner data showed the man died from multiple blunt force injuries.
The crash happened just after 5 a.m. Tuesday near the 9200 block of Western Avenue in Evergreen Park.

According to police, a car was traveling southbound on Western Avenue when it clipped over for an unknown reason, ejecting the three men riding inside.
The men were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, and Washington was pronounced dead.

It’s unclear what caused the car to flip, authorities said. Western Avenue was closed between 91st and 94th street for several hours on Tuesday during an investigation into the crash. The roadway reopened around 11 a.m.
The crash is being investigated by members of the Evergreen Park Police Department in conjunction with the Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team.
