Wisconsin Favorite Cousins Subs Opens Friday In Evergreen Park

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — A Wisconsin favorite, Cousins Subs, makes its debut Friday, Dec. 20, in Evergreen Park. The family-owned chain based in Milwaukee, WI, boasts Italian breads baked on site, as well as classic, deli-fresh and grilled-to-order subs.

Located at 9204 S. Western Ave. in the former Firehouse Subs space, the 1,500-square-foot restaurant can seat 36 patrons. Guests will enjoy deli fresh and grilled to order subs, as well as made-to-order sides, including such Wisconsin faves as cheese curds, Wisconsin Mac and Cheese and fries. Cousins can also accommodate large catering orders and will offer delivery.

Grilled to order sandwiches include Philly, steak and chicken cheese steaks, in addition to steak and chicken cheddar sandwiches. Rounding out the menu are such traditional favorites as clubs, Italian, tuna and BLTs, as well as deli-fresh sandwiches featuring ham and provolone, turkey, roast beef and cheddar, and tuna. Cousins also offers “subs in a bowl” for the carb conscious.

Cousins Subs was founded in 1972 by two cousins, Bill Specht and Jim Sheppard, set out to bring their favorite east coast subs to Wisconsin. The chain has restaurants throughout the state of Wisconsin, and is expanding in Illinois and Indiana. Evergreen Park marks the sixth Cousins Subs restaurant to open in the Chicago area. Cousins Subs hours are 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
