Franciscan Sisters in Frankfort welcome the public back to Mass
June 13, 2021, re-opening planned at Queen of Angels Chapel
Although some precautions will still be in place to protect the health of the Sisters, the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart at St. Francis Woods in Frankfort, IL, are re-opening their chapel doors to the public starting on June 13, 2021. The Mass schedule has changed to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday-Sunday. There will be no Mass on Mondays.
The precautions include the following:
- Wear a mask unless fully vaccinated.
- Sign of peace will be a friendly wave.
- Eucharist in the hand is preferred.
- Wine is not yet offered.
- Collection baskets are at Chapel entrances.
- Sisters sit in reserved sections. Socializing is limited to waving “hello” at this time.
Queen of Angels Chapel is located at 9201 W St Francis Road, Frankfort, IL. Those with limited mobility should use the front lobby entrance.
