2nd Annual Fish Release Day At Lake Glenview
The free family event to populate the lake with native species begins at noon on Saturday.

GLENVIEW, IL — Live fish will be provided when Glenview holds its second annual fish release day at Lake Glenview on Saturday. The free, family-friendly event aims to populate the man-made reservoir with species of fish native to the area.
All ages are welcome and attendees were asked to dress for outdoors and wet conditions. Buckets and fish will be available while supplies last.
The fish release event in Gallery Park is being organized by the the Glenview Park District, the Village of Glenview and the Sunrise Glenview Rotary Club, which will be accepting donations for the Northfield Township Food Pantry.

The freeing of the fish begins at noon on Saturday, April 28 at the boat launch on the northwest side of the lake. Parking is available in the lots along West Lake Avenue between Patriot Boulevard and Lehigh Avenue.

Also on Lake Glenview, the 2018 boating season begins on Tuesday. Kayaks, canoes and rowboats with permits may be taken across much of the north of the lake, with some restrictions.
