Abt, Midwest Care Center Make 'Top Workplaces' List
A Chicago Tribune survey ranks the top employers in the Chicago area.

Glenview's Abt Electronics and Midwest Palliative & Hospice CareCenter are among the best workplaces in the metropolitan Chicago area, according to a survey conducted by the Chicago Tribune.
Abt was ranked the third best employer based on feedback from employees who described the their employers as having, “dynamic, supportive and inclusive cultures.” Midwest Palliative CareCenter, which has a location in Glenview, clocked in at No. 32.

The report includes the Top 100 companies. Some tied for honors because rankings were given to large, midsize and small businesses.
Other nearby businesses that made the list include Northbrook-based Lou Malnati's Pizza (10th), Lake Forest-based W.W. Grainger (11th), Deerfield’s Discover Financial Services (15th), Des Plaines’ Rivers Casino (20th) and Deerfield-based Takeda Pharmaceuticals (25th).
