Cash, Jewelry, Family Heirlooms Stolen in Residential Burglaries
In a separate incident, a resident suspects a cleaning service of stealing cash from a dresser drawer.

Residential Burglary
Someone entered a home in the 2300 block of Malik Court by forcing the lock on an exterior door and removing the interior sliding door from its tracks between 11 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. Sept. 13. The offender stole $4,000 in cash, figurines and family heirlooms from a living room display case and ransacked other rooms in the home.

Someone entered a home in the 1900 block of Tanglewood Dr. sometime between 1 p.m. Sept. 12 and 6 p.m. Sept. 14 through an unlocked rear sliding door. They took a jewelry box containing numerous jewelry pieces worth more than $5,000. Nothing else in the residence was disturbed.
Sometime between 4 p.m. Sept. 12 and 11 a.m. Sept. 15, someone used a pry tool on a rear sliding door attempting to gain entry to a vacant home for sale in the 400 block of Sheryl Ln. Nothing appeared to be taken.

Attempted Burglary
An employee of a retail establishment in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Rd. reported Sept. 15 that someone damaged the front door lock. No entry appears to have been gained and no inventory is missing at this time.
Theft
A resident of the 4700 block of Locust Ave. reported money missing from their dresser drawer. On Sept. 10, workers from a maid service came to clean the house. The next day the resident discovered $700 of $3,500 missing from a sock drawer.
