Coronavirus Vaccine Event Planned Wednesday In Glenview

Doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine are available by appointment to all Illinois residents 18 and up at the Glenview Park Center

GLENVIEW, IL — Residents of Illinois will have another local opportunity to get the coronavirus vaccine this week. All residents 18 and over can receive the first dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine — with an appointment — Wednesday at the Glenview Park Center, 2400 Central Ave. The second dose for those that receive a shot this week is scheduled for Wednesday, May 26.

The Village of Glenview, Glenview Park District and Holy Family Plaza Pharmacy have partnered up for the event.

Vaccination appointments will be made on a first come, first served basis, according to a news release. The time of the appointment will be the same for each event. Attendees are asked to bring a copy of a valid photo ID (driver’s license, State ID or student ID) and insurance card, if applicable, to the vaccination site. Individuals without insurance will not be turned away.

Individuals must provide their own transportation to and from the site. Masks and social distancing are required at the vaccination site. Individuals who received their first dose elsewhere and are seeking their second dose are not eligible for this clinic.
