Margarita Zuniga, 36, of the 10000 block of Holly Lane, Des Plaines, is accused of defrauding an innkeeper, criminal trespass to property, and was arrested at 9:55 a.m. April 28 at the Courtyard by Marriott, 1801 Milwaukee Ave. She was released on bond and assigned a court date of May 14.

  • Lavontae Allen, 29, of the 3700 block of Salem Walk, Northbrook, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while licenses revoked, fleeing/attempt to elude police, speeding more than 35 mph over the limit, and was arrested at 11:17 p.m. April 29 in the 3700 block of Central Road. He was released on $3,000 bond and assigned a court date of May 28 in Skokie.
  • Frederick Jackson, 61, of the 1200 block of W Sherwin Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving under the influence, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level over .08, improper lane usage, and was arrested at 5:55 p.m. May 1 in the 1200 block of Waukegan Road. He was released on $3,000 bond and assigned a court date of June 11 in Skokie.
  • Sultan Al Boabdulla, 31, of the 2500 block of Victory Lane, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence, a suspended driver's license, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level over .08, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, a loud muffler, and was arrested at 10:01 p.m. May 1 in the 1900 block of Tower Drive. He was held for a bond hearing.

THEFT

  • A church in the 1000 block of Elm Street reported at 10:52 a.m. April 27 a Progress LGBTQ flag and wood flag pole were stolen from the property sometime between March 30 and April 4. Reported loss is $48.
  • A resident called police at 6:16 p.m. April 28 to report someone stole their bicycle as it sat parked, unlocked and unoccupied in the 1800 block of Tower Dr. Reported loss is $400.
  • A Wisconsin resident reported at 4:39 p.m. April 29 the theft of the catalytic converter from their vehicle as it sat parked unoccupied in a parking lot in the 4500 block of West Lake Avenue. Reported loss is $500.
  • A Washington Street resident called police at 3:54 p.m. April 30 to report being scammed into bank transfers via an electronic dating application. Reported loss is $7,000.
  • A resident in the 4100 block of Cove Lane reported at 10:52 p.m. May 2 the theft of the catalytic converter from their vehicle as the vehicle sat parked, unoccupied, in the parking lot. Reported loss is $1,000.

IDENTITY THEFT

  • A Central Road resident called police at 9:31 a.m. April 28 to report receiving a letter from the IRS about a fraudulent tax return filed in their name. They were unable to file legitimate returns and are in the process of contesting the fraudulent claim.
  • An Iroquois Drive resident reported at 11:41 a.m. April 29 locating several cable and communications accounts opened using their social security number on their credit report. False accounts were closed and will notify the remaining credit reporting bureaus.
  • An Indian Road resident called police at 4:10 p.m. April 30 to report someone used their identifying information to open an online shopping credit card. Reported loss is $1,600.64.
  • A Woodmere Lane resident reported at 5:15 p.m. May 3 a false internet provider account opened in their name, without their permission. Reported loss is $703.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

  • A resident in the 1300 block of Sleepy Hollow Road reported at 4:22 p.m. April 30 someone rang their doorbell twice and then ran away. The incident was recorded on a doorbell camera.
  • A resident in the 700 block of Beaver Road called police at 8:41 a.m. May 2 to report someone rang their doorbell and ran away from the area.

POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA

Angel Vargas, 18, of the 400 block of 4th Street, was cited under Village ordinance for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis, citation for speeding, at 10:15 p.m. April 30 following a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Greenwood Road.
